Day 13 of 21

01fdc01b1d29f0bf54d74396e68ac1fd1ececbcc8fToday was the day all of my hard work over the past 7 months (my official start of clean eating and BeachBody workouts) was going to pay off! I had gone from a size 14 to an easy size 6, and I was actually looking forward to shopping with my mom and sister for the first time in my life. In the past I could barely fit into clothes at mainstream clothing stores, or if they had my size, the clothes were clearly not designed for someone of my height and weight. I also hated buying shorts, dresses or skirts because my thighs would rub together and be so painful in the heat. But with the help of 21 Day Fix, T25, P90 and PiYo I had lost 35 pounds and sculpted my legs so that I could finally wear a pair of short shorts!!!!

I won’t thoroughly review my workout today because I did a hasty Yoga Fix Extreme in the morning before shopping and really struggled on focusing on the moves. Yes, I was stretched out by the end, and this time I used my own music; but I still really struggled to even get into position for a lot of the moves and the modified move didn’t really push me. I swapped Yoga for Dirty 30 Extreme, because I didn’t have time for a shower in the morning and my husband refuses to workout before 9 am and since he doesn’t “do” Yoga, I figured we could do Dirty 30 together on Sunday.

In addition, it was haircut day for Zoey and I, we were off the salon and groomer respectively for a well deserved trim. If you have seen our photos over the past 13 days she looked like an overgrown muppet and I looked like I was growing a fine mullet….After my breakfast and haircut we headed to King of Prussia for a day of shopping and fun! My sister and mom have been following 21 Day Fix eating and doing at home workouts (21 Day Fix, P90, PiYo and Tai Cheng) and have both toned their bodies and lost weight. In the past shopping would make us all pretty grumpy and we would go out for a terrible meal at the mall, but this time we were inspired and excited by the way clothes were fitting us and went to Bahama Breeze for a healthy meal to keep up our results.ย 01fd716fc8b0c2650c159226f143b5307795d1f8e0

My main goal was to find a dress for formal night on the cruise, I had gone shopping with my best friend and fellow coach Carly a couple of weeks ago for shorts and t-shirts but wanted to wait on my final results to pick a dress. I loved this pink colored one on the left, but agreed that I probably wouldn’t have much use for it outside the cruise. We were having a fun time texting our cousin with some of the more unique finds…yes that dress in the middle is one piece oddly….it is connected in the back! My final choice from the day was the purple dress on the right. I felt it was classic, appropriate for any future friend’s weddings and showed off the progress in my stomach. I was inspired and ready to kick butt on my remaining 8 days of 21 Day Fix Extreme. Here is what I ate during my day out, it wasn’t perfect but I think I did a good job of sticking to the plan as closely as possible:

01e72c5b073bf03c873feeec0f1af091ff479dba53Breakfast:

  • 1 Yellow Serving Steel Cut Oats
  • 1 Purple Frozen Mixed Berries
  • 2 Scrambled Eggs

Snack 1:

  • Chocolate Shakeology
  • Frozen Strawberries

Lunch: After shopping for an hour we headed to Bahama Breeze for lunch, they had so many great fix approved meals, but I opted for one of their fish of the day options. We also started with some delicious Hummus and Vegetables as an appetizer. I ate all of my fish but skipped some of the potatoes to keep my meal to two yellows, two reds and 1 green and 3 tsp.0172cffc5f168ff1fa7db9d2a62d95701743540489

  • Wood Grilled Mahi Mahi with Chimichurri
  • Steamed Broccoli
  • Mashed Cinnamon Sweet Potatos
  • Hummus
  • Carrots and Celery and Peppers

Snack 2: I couldn’t find a good healthy snack for the day and was still full from lunch. I opted to skip this meal in order to conserve containers for dinner. We didn’t have a plan so I wanted to leave as many options open as possible.

Dinner: We had so much fun shopping we actually forgot to stop anywhere and make a dinner reservation. By the time we got to the restaurants in the mall, every place had over a two hour wait. We headed to the food court….I was really nervous but when I found a make your own salad place, I knew I would be fine. 018426f7f6323699ba5b8605b069e3623e85335dc6I loaded my salad up with:

  • Spring Mix
  • Grilled Chicken (yes over on my reds for the day but I was tired and needed it!)
  • Onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Green Peppers
  • Oil and Vinegar for Dressing on the side

Overall I would call today a shopping success. We were all able to find what we were looking for at the mall. No one broke down in tears…that’s usually my job…and we actually closed down a store finding mom the perfect bathing suit! I don’t think we have ever shopped that long in our lives. Bonus: I had over 15,000 steps on my fitbit Charge HR by the end of the trip.

  1. that sounds like a great day! By the way, you look AWESOME! Isn’t it so crazy how our bodies react to changing out the simplest of ingredients on a day to day basis? It still blows my mind. Keep up the hard work. Those accomplishments and little victories are why it’s all worth it in the end.
